You know, you can buy frozen pizza in Moscow…sometimes with strange things on it like corn, fish, and a sauce that resembles pizza sauce – but usually doesn’t taste like anything you are expecting! I learned to make a quick and easy pizza dough from my friend Liz…and the rest is pretty much history. I love making homemade pizza, and hopefully this will help you to see that its not that much harder than sticking the frozen kind in the oven – and its so much healthier without all those preservatives!
Easy Pizza Dough:
Mix the following ingredients together in order.
1 TBS. yeast, 1 C. warm water, 2 and 1/2 C. flour, 1 TBS. sugar, 1 tsp. salt, 2 TBS. oil (I use olive oil)
Let the dough rest 5 minutes and then roll it out into a big, round circle.
Top with your favorite bottled or homemade tomato sauce, shredded cheese, and whatever toppings you would like.
My friend Rachel came over and we put salami and diced red pepper on our pizza, and I put black olives on half of it for me.
Just bake it like this in a 350 degree oven for about 20 minutes.
Voila! Yummy, homemade pizza. Enjoy!
