I don’t know why, but Green Bean Casserole has always been one of my favorite things at Thanksgiving Dinner. There’s nothing all that special about it really. But it reminds me of Thanksgiving at home. So it’s a must for me at any Thanksgiving meal.
Green Bean Casserole
- 1 recipe “Cream of Something soup substitute” (or 1 can cream of chicken/cream of mushroom soup, if you MUST take shortcuts! 🙂
- 3/4 C. milk
- 1/8 tsp. pepper
- 18 oz. (510 g) frozen green beans
- 1 & 1/3 C. french fried onions. If you MUST take shortcuts, use the can off the shelf. If you live in Russia, do this.
Mix cream soup, milk, and pepper. Stir in green beans and 2/3 C. french fried onions. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Once out of the oven, stir the casserole, then sprinkle top with more FF onions. Bake 5 more minutes until onions on top are golden.
