Homemade Cheese Ball (from mom)
- 4 oz. (113 g) blue cheese
- 8 oz. (227 g) grated cheddar cheese (grate it yourself, don’t get pre-grated)
- 3 oz. (85 g) cream cheese
- 1 TBL. minced parsley
- 1 TBL. minced onion
- 1 tsp. worcestershire
- 3/4 C. chopped nuts (you can use mixed nuts, or I like them with just chopped almonds too)
Let cheeses stand at room temperature to soften. Blend with parsley, onion, worcestershire, and 1/4 C. nuts. Shape into a ball. Roll the ball in 1/2 C. chopped nuts. Wrap in wax paper and refrigerate for several hours. Remove the cheese ball from the fridge one hour before serving. Serve with crackers or toasted baguette.
